A.J. Virgilio Construction is currently searching for a Site Superintendent to provide on-site management for projects that spread throughout Massachusetts. This is an opportunity to become an integral part of A.J. Virgilio Construction and lead with an industry expert.

DESCRIPTION: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute the project schedule: Schedule and coordinate all self-performed and subcontractor work activities including but not limited to start dates, progress schedules, completion date and punch list coordination
  • Coordination, inspection, verification acceptance and proper storage of all material deliveries from vendors and subcontractors
  • Monitoring and reporting of the AJV quality control plan
  • Timely communication with PM’s regarding RFI’s, submittals, project updates and schedule impacts (positive and negative)
  • Ensure that subcontractors are performing contracted SOW
  • Coordinate any and all required inspections
  • Maintain daily log (written) of quantities and activities on jobsites including detailed reporting of any delay items or quality control issues
  • Preparation of a weekly schedule update/impact schedule

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of experience in civil/heavy construction in a supervisory role
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication; must be fluent in English
  • Please list your Safety Certifications

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
  • Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs), standing, climbing, kneeling, crouching and crawling
  • Full time position
